This is an authentic Poulan replacement chain designed for use with chainsaws. It is a key component of a chainsaw which mechanically cuts the material. Over time the chain will stretch, become dull or break. Keep an eye on the condition of the chain and replace as needed. Please note this chain is only for use with 16" bars. Includes one (1) metal cutting chain per order.
The only tool needed for this repair is the scwrench that most likely came with your chainsaw. Otherwise, a flat head screwdriver and a socket wrench will do just fine.
• Remove the guide bar side panel
• Release the chain tension
• Remove the old chain
• Loosen the tension screw
• Thread the new chain onto the saw
• Align the guide bar
• Replace the side plate
• Tighten the chain to the correct tension
• Finish tightening the side plate nuts
