This is an authentic part that has been sourced from the original manufacturer for use with Briggs and Stratton engines that are commonly installed on a variety of lawn and garden equipment. The carburetor connects to the cylinder and is used to supply the engine with a mixture of fuel and air. Unfortunately, over time it may wear out or get damaged eventually requiring a replacement. To ensure the proper repair procedure, refer to the appropriate diagrams for your model. A wrench set will be needed to remove the old and attach the new. Keep in mind this high-quality carburetor is sold as an individual item.

Replacing it was simple enough. I followed the directions that came with the new carburetor and parts kit. Main thing to remember is to CLEAN every thing good before installing. This means to clean all you can before any dis-assembly begins. Then clean surfaces and parts that will be going back on. I found it quite advantageous to take the cover with the rope starter together off the top of the engine first. ( Three bolts is all that holds it on ) That puts everything in the clear and makes it so much easier to work on the rest.
Make sure the diagram and carburetor main gasket are installed in the right order.

Removed the Carburetor/tank assembly. Emptied all residual fuel in the tank back in to the fuel can. Thoroughly cleaned all external surfaces. including the original carburetor. Removed the mounting screws for the Carburetor and then separated the carburetor from the tank. Cleaned the surfaces on the tank. Followed instructions which were included with the carburetor and installed the diaphragm and the gasket. Installed the screen on the carburetor and placed the new carburetor in position on the tank and secured the mounting screws. reconnected the
Throttle linkage. placed the carburetor back in place on the engine. Installed the mounting bolt loosely at the front bracket and placed the space on the magnetic pickup and held in place to install the mounting bolt to the engine block. Installed the breather tube grommet back in place and secured all mounting bolts. Added fresh fuel to the tank (filled) and pumped the primer bulb 4 times. installed the air breather. Started the first pull. Running great since.
