Need help finding your model number?"This is an authentic Makita carburetor for a backpack blower. The carburetor is where fuel and air are brought together in the precise ratio for combustion. The carburetor has numerous small passages that route fuel through it. If dirt or corrosion clog these tiny openings this will cause the engine to run poorly or not at all. Never leave fuel in the carburetor for long periods of time, such as over the winter because it can gum up the internal parts and passages. A carburetor can be cleaned and rebuilt but it is often cheaper and quicker to just replace it with a new one. For this repair you will need to remove the air filter cover, air filter, and the nuts securing it in place. You'll then remove the throttle cable and fuel lines. Now you can install your new replacement part. Put the incoming and return lines back into position and then the throttle cable. With those back in position, line the carburetor up with the isolator and boot and reinstall. "
