  • carb still works several months later
I tried 2 cheap carbs from amazon and each only worked the first time. Neither worked a second time several weeks after installation. The carb from ereplacement.com worked the first time and continues to work months later. It is like the original factory carb and needs special tools to adjust. I don't have those tools and have not made any adjustments. The idle is barely fast and the screw could use a turn the width of a curly hair but since I don't have the special tool, I going with it as is. Happy with the part and would buy again.

Remove air filter assembly, then remove the fuel lines and throttle from the old carburetor. Remember where the fuel lines went on the carburetor. Remove the old carburetor and replace it with the new one. Install the fuel lines and throttle onto the new carburetor, then replace the air filter assembly.

Replacing all the fuel hoses, fuel tank filter and tank grommet did not fix the problem. The carburetor was non adjustable, so installed a new carburetor and gasket. Had to remove the throttle cable and two carburetor mounting bolts to make the swap. No tuning was required. Trimmer now runs like new.
