Product Description ?

Genuine Delta replacement part
Includes 1 Carbon Brush with wire lead and brush spring attached, 2 are required.

• Worn brushes are often the cause of a poorly running motor
• Replacing brushes can fix an intermittent motor
• New brushes can restore a motor’s electric braking

Carbon motor brushes are one of the most commonly replaced power tool components.  Because carbon brushes are wear items, meaning that through friction and use they will gradually wear away, they will eventually require replacement.  Worn brushes are common causes of intermittent motor function, reduced electric braking, and reduced motor power.  A worn out brush will often be worn down near the wire lead and may be cracked, pitted, or burned.  When replacing carbon brushes, be sure to also inspect your armature for burns, cracks, or other damage which indicates a larger motor problem.

My Delta miter saw is back working like new!
    Guest - May 19, 2021 Verified Purchase
    30 year old miter saw
I did a little research and found that the failure of the electric brake on my 30 year old Delta miter saw was probably due to worn out brushes or the commutator was dirty. I was able to clean the commutator and the brushes didn't look bad but when I tried it again, still no brake. So I bought a set of brushes. Still no brake. Oh well, I am still using the saw just without the brake.

Carbon Brush Replacement for Delta Cmpd Miter saw
My set of brushes worked great for my Delta 10" compound miter saw; and was exactly what I needed. I couldn't get the saw to turn on with the old brushes. New parts arrived quickly. I spent more time looking locally for brushes. Save yourself some time and just order thru ereplacement parts.com. The saw brush installation is "easy-peasy". If necessary consult youtube videos. My saw works again like new!
