This is a genuine OEM sourced replacement part. It is commonly used on a Hitachi power tools. Because carbon brushes are wear items, meaning that through friction and use they will gradually wear away, they will eventually require replacement. It is recommended to replace both brushes at the same time. Includes two (2) carbon brushes with lead wires and springs attached. Please note, brush holders are sold separately.
You would need a screwdriver and pliers to complete this job.
• First remove screws holding the cover together
• Separate two (2) halves of the housing to gain access to armature and brush holder
• Remove the old brush assembly
• Install the new brush assembly
• Reassemble and test your tool

Remove the screws that are holding cap covers, set aside the cap covers, screws and rubber washers. Use a screwdriver to remove the brush caps. Then remove the worn brushes and install the new ones. Replace the brush caps,rubber washers and cap covers. All went well, I really recommend you to buy parts from eReplacement Parts
