This is genuine OEM replacement part used on Poulan trimmers. The cover works together with the spool line assembly to secure the line. With normal use, these covers can break or crack and will require a replacement. To remove the old cover, press in the tabs and the cover should pull right out. It is made out of plastic and it is sold individually.
