Product Description ?

This is a replacement part directly sourced from the manufacturer for use in lawn tractors and riding mowers by Toro and Lawn Boy. It is made of metal and attaches to the decal control panel. If it becomes broken or stretched it will need to be replaced. During replacement, a screwdriver and a socket set may be needed. The choke cable is sold individually.

    Unscrew the dash panel, remove nut and lock washer from back, unhook choke cable, route the new cable in place, secure with nut and lock washer, screw panel back in place.

    1. Removed the panel.
    2. Loosened the nut under the panel.
    3. Loosened the choke clamp.
    4. Slid the cable-choke out of the panel and choke clamp.
    5. Replaced with the new cable.

    1 . Removed control panel where choke cable was located 3screws 2. Removed the nut securing the cable to panel 3. Loosened the screw holding the cable to the engine and removed the broken cable 4 reinstall the new cable in reverse order

    Removed control panel.
    Removed nut holding cable to panel.
    Unhooked cable from choke.
    Threaded new cable into panel.
    Using nut, fastened choke to panel.
    Hooked cable to choke.
    Screwed control panel to tractor.

    Choke control wire broke inside cable, throttle would slowly slip reducing engine speed

    Removed 4 screws attaching control panel to mower
    Disconnected electrical plugs from control panel
    Removed nut attaching choke cable to panel
    Loosened screws securing choke and throttle cables to carburetor and disconnected control wires
    Removed old throttle and choke assemblies from control panel
    Ran new choke and throttle cables through control panel
    Ran nut over choke cable, tightened it to secure choke assembly to control panel
    Inserted and secured throttle handle assembly into control panel
    Connected throttle and choke control wires to carburetor
    Put throttle level to slow, choke to open
    Tightened screws attaching throttle and choke cables to carburetor
    Reconnected electrical connectors to control panel
    Attached control panel to mower

    1. Removed the three screws from the panel
    2. Loosen the nut that held it on the panel
    3. Put the new cable threw the hole in panel and secured it with the nut
    4. Took old cable off and replaced with new
    5 Tightened the three screws
    6. Adjusted
    7 Done

    All completed in less than 15 minutes and this was done by a 66 yr. old woman
