Product Description ?

This replacement part is supplied directly from original equipment manufacturer for use with Husqvarna and Jonsered walk behind lawn mowers. The drive cable is the cable that stops the blade when the control handle is released. If the cable is broken it will cause the brake to not release even when the lever is pressed. It is a high-quality replacement for a faulty or a missing component that was installed on a new unit. Check the owners manual and the diagrams of your model for the correct installation of this drive cable. This durable rubber insulated part is sold individually.

  • Got the cable to replace old broken one. Only took ten minutes to install and its great to have the drive wheels working again
    the part was an OEM part and fit perfectly. The drive wheels are engaging now and makes the mowing much easier.

    Lawn mower wheel drive cable broke

    I cleaned all grass and grime to make the task more pleasant.
    I unscrewed the actuator handle cover, and that allowed me to remove the drive cable, down to the axle drive.
    I WD-40'D all parts that seemed to be moving parts of the drive assembly.
    I attached the new cable to the drive wheel axle.
    I then attached the drive cable to the handle assembly, and installed the actuator cover.
    It is now back to "self-propelled."
