    Didn't work
Didn't work due to the cable that is pictured here is not the one from the diagram (parts list)that I ordered from. Cable in diagram has loops on both needs which was needed not what is pictured here that was sent. No issues with the ordering or the shipping, arrived quickly.

Questions & Answers for Cable, Clutch Pull

What is the length of this cable? I'm needing the cable that engages the drive on the self-propelled; is this the correct part?
Mary for model number 21507B asked on 2023-11-16
Hi Mary, Thank you for your question. This cable measures 35.4 inches and it would be the cable that drives the mower. We hope this helps!

Typical Snapper mower. The repair was simple. Removed old cable and replaced with new. No tools were required.

Very big caution: The official parts manual called out the cable part number with an asterisk. If you go to the footnote, you'll note that there might be a different cable with a different parts number. Had to research to find out one cable was 41 inches long and the other 36. I measured my broken cable and determined it was the alternate (36-inch) one. If I hadn't seen the asterisk, I would have ordered the wrong cable.

    Pliers

Used pliers to maneuver each end of the cable into their places. The top has a bent-shaped pin that must be fed into the cam lever, this took pliers to get into place. The bottom had a loop that the cable leading to the drive mechanism, this too took pliers to get the hook of the cable into the look. Very simple repair.

I looked how both cables were attached at their controls and to the engine area. And took a few pictures. After that it was fairly easy to remove the cables and install the new ones.
