    I noticed slackness on the cable and saw the fitting on the end had snapped. I removed the cable ties, and using pliers removed the cable at both ends. I then fit the new cable into the connections and re-fastened the cable to the handle.

    I looked how both cables were attached at their controls and to the engine area. And took a few pictures. After that it was fairly easy to remove the cables and install the new ones.
