This high-quality assembly is sold individually, keep in mind it consists of a durable plastic ring, two metal brush holders with attached spring. 2. Removed the broken speed selector knob and replaced it with the new part.
3. Removed the brush plate and brushes.
4. Unsoldered one of the connections because solder had melted into the spade connector.
5. Installed the new brush plate.
6. Installed the armature and coil assembly.
7. Installed new brushes.
8. Assembled unit with Torx nut drivers paying close attention to wire routing, and carefully inserting the round spring for the direction switch.
