    Worn brushes and caps

    Using a screwdriver remove the brush caps on each side of the motor housing. Then remove the worn brushes and place the new brushes in the brush holder. Then screw the new brush caps on.

    Remove the brush caps with a screwdriver, then remove the worn brushes. Install the new brushes and screw in the new brush caps.

    Saw would stop when hot, would run fine cold

    Brush retaining screw was cross-threaded not seating brush properly. Removed retaining screw by chipping into small pieces as it was jammed in. Once removed replaced brushes and retaining screws and issue is fixed.
