Replacing the brush card was the most difficult task for me. I wasn't paying close enough attention to the brush card orientation and wound up re installing in reverse, the site schematics were very vague and blurry for this part, it seemed to fit perfectly. (Turns out band saws will operate in a reverse order if the polarity is altered.) After a quick re re installation of service armature, field, and brush card I re assembled using new and refurbished parts, applied quality bearing assembly lubricants and nuclear grade anti sieze. I then polished aluminum gearcase with brass wire wheel. Since paint of Milwaukee emblems were removed, I added custom black paint for the once red factory logos, added the owners company logos, as well as my insignia. The resto was a success and customer was very satisfied with the performance and aesthetics.
