Product Description ?

Genuine Milwaukee replacement part.
Includes 1 Carbon Brush with wire lead, brush spring and bracket attached.
Two brushes are needed for the tools shown below.

• Worn brushes are often the cause behind a a poorly running motor.
• Replacing brushes can fix an intermittently operating motor.
• New brushes can restore a motor’s electric braking.

Carbon motor brushes are one of the most commonly replaced power tool parts. Because carbon brushes are wear items, meaning that through friction and use they will gradually wear away, they will eventually need replacing. Worn brushes are a common causes of intermittent motor function, reduced electric braking and reduced motor power. A worn-out brush will often be worn down near the wire lead and may be cracked, pitted, or burned. When replacing carbon brushes be sure to also inspect your armature for burns, cracks, or other damage which are indication of a larger motor problem.

    Exact parnumber as the original
I purchased four of this carbon brushes for my Milwaukee 5625-20 Router. Two as extras and the other two to replace my used up carbon brushes. To my surprise, on my original carbon brushes have the markings L42F12 and the purchased sets have the identical markings. That gave me the confidence that this company eReplacementParts is as genuine as they come. I have full confidence knowing that when I buy a part from them it will be genuine. Changing out the Brushes was a breeze, give or take under 10 minutes to open up the tool take out the old brushes, replace with new ones and assemble the tool and back on my router table ready for action.

Removed the top cover and depth adjustment knob with a torx driver. The two brush tube assemblies were removed with the same torx and I replaced the brushes. I also replaced the on/off switch just for good measure - it only cost a few dollars more...and why not while I had the cover off? When I put it back together, the router fired right up.

    Grip Back was Missing

    Circular Saw

    Difficulty

    Easy

    Time

    Less than 15 minutes

    Tools Used

    Screwdriver, Pliers

Since the back was missing, it seemed like a perfect time to asses other damages to my Milwaukee circular saw.
The cord was missing the plug and damaged in other areas so I replaced it.
The bevel adjustment bracket was bent so I needed to take the saw completely apart to be able to straighten out the bracket in a vise.
Since the saw was completely apart, it was a great time to clean out all the caked in sawdust and grime. That's when I figured it would be the right time to replace the brushes.
The hardest part was removing the snap clip to take off the saw guard itself.
Reverse the procedure and presto! The saw runs like new!
