    FIRST CLEAN AREA PARTS GOING ON THAN SCRED NUT IN PLACE WITH WASHER PUT NUT ON AND TIGHTED UP WITH SOCKET AND ADJUSTABLE WRENCH TESTED MY TRIMMER EVERYTHING WORKED GREAT!

    Screws we're too loose. I'd tighten them ,and in 20 to 30 mins they were loose again. Gear gasket was broken

    Replace the old screws and nuts with the replacement parts. Replace the old gasket with a new one.

    Sickle blade struck an object and bent the 1/2" X 1" gear shaft

    Completely dismantled trimmer to replace gear box then reassembled using all the parts ordered. I had to be careful reassembling the blades as the two gears had to be installed 180 degrees so blades would oscillate as designed otherwise the gear shaft could be bent again when starting engine.
