I have a Snapper Pro S150X which need new blades. This zero turn mower has a 48" deck with 3 16" blades. Even the dealer cannot find the replacements! Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello Michael, than you for your question. Our research indicates that your model number may be 5900884 - S150XKAV2048, 48" 20HP Kawasaki Mid Mount Zero-Turn Rider. We did find a manual you can download at https://manualzz.com/doc/56425338/simplicity-5900884-operator-s-manual. The Blade part (5020843) 5020843ASM is on page 52. Pliers, Power Drill, Socket set, Wrench Set, Adjustable Wrench

Remove drive belt then remove the deck from the mower. Take the guards off, then the blade then the jack shaft housing and shaft. Install new one , don't forget to grease it an the others too.. Put all back together an your done.

The primary belt was cracking, needed new blades

Screwdriver, Socket set, Pneumatic impact wrench

The package that the belt is sold in has the routing of the belt right on the package. I jacked up the front of the mower, then put jack stands underneath it and blocked the rear wheels. I remove the blade nuts, then the washers and the blades. I the placed the blade adapters on the spindle, followed by the blades, the washers and tightened the blade nuts.

Used jack to raise lawnmower; place lawnmower on jack stands; use a block of wood to stop lawnmower from rolling back wards off jack stands; use another block of wood to stop blades from moving around; use WD 40 to losing up bolts on old blades; grab your socket set while you wait for the WD 40 to work on the bolts; replace one blade at a time; making sure that bolts are good and tight; lower your lawnmower, put away your equipment that you used; run your lawnmower and cut your grass.

Worn blade adapter and worn out blades

Put the mower on blocks to raise the front and block the rear wheels. Make sure the mower is secure and won't move. Remove the blade holder nut and the washers. Remove the worn blade and blade adapter. Place the new blade adapter on the spindle, then the new blade, two washers and tighten the blade nut

Took note on where the belt was positioned
Installed the new belt in the same way
Removed the blade nuts and washers then the blades
Installed the new blades on the spindles
Replaced the washers and tightened the blade nuts
Then attached the deck to the mower

Remove the blade nut and washer then the blade
Make sure the blade adapter is above the blade when you put the new blade on the spindle.
