    Honda lawnmower mulching blade(s) replacement..
Have a 13 year old Honda lawnmower and finally got around to replacing the "mulching" blades. There are two blades that have to be replaced - one is mounted directly on top of the other. Both blades are held in place by the same two bolts. Replacement was a piece of cake!! The blades (had Honda brand on them) fit perfectly. The selection of these blades was made easy by the "ereplacemenrt" selection list - just find the serial number and model of Honda lawnmower you have and match that to the correct blades. Blade replacement process took about 15 minutes!! Cleaning out the bottom of the lawnmower took another 15 minutes however!! ..hadn't done that in quite awhile either! One note - I put thread lock on the bolt threads when reinstalling them.. ..just being cautious!

    Happy Customer
All the parts I ordered were correct and fit perfectly. Also, and perhaps more important, your website is very easy to navigate especially when trying to find parts for a machine that is nine years old. The Honda site was worthless as were others. Then I remembered your site! Keep up the good work.

Questions & Answers for Blade, Mulching (upper)

Do the oem blades come pre sharpened?
James for model number Honda Harmony II HRR216SDA asked on 2022-04-08
Hello James, thank you for your question. Almost all new lawnmowers and lawnmower blades come pre-sharpened from the factory and there is no need to sharpen them before you can use them. Even if the new lawnmower blade that you just bought seems a bit dull it is already sharpened at the right angle for cutting grass, and it is already exactly as sharp as it needs to be. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you.

difference between low and high lift blades
Charles for model number HRX217VKA asked on 2022-04-04
Hello Charles, Thank you for your inquiry. The leading upper blade makes a major cut at the front. Then the lower blade makes a smaller cut. Both blades then continue to cut the grass clippings into smaller and smaller pieces. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

Used a 5/8 socket "rated" at 1/2" as you need a bit of muscle. Looked at the old, and replaced in that order(very important). Also, put a couple "quick sprays" of WD-40 on the bolts. Never hurts...cleaned the under deck of stuck grass.
