This part comes directly from Andis. This Blade Lock is used on many Andis clippers. This part is black and made of metal. It is used to hold and lock the blades into place. It is common for the hooked tip to break after a time. It is recommended to purchase a couple of these Locks at one time. The Lock is easy to replace. Remove the two Philips Head Blade Hinge Screws (part number 27864). Remove the Hinge Assembly (S63897) and align the spring with the holes on the new Lock and reinstall.
