Our Kitchen Aid blender stopped working. At first, it appeared to only be the coupler, the piece that spins and drives the blade. After replacing the coupler, the blade assembly still did not spin. The blade assembly also needed to be replaced. Once I replaced both parts, our blender now works like new. It only required a screwdriver to remove the old coupler. Total time was less than 5 minutes. The guys on the phone were fantastic, they were able to find the right parts. We now have our blender working and spent about 10% the price of a new one. Ereplacementparts.com will be my first stop then next time something breaks. Thanks again! Jason S.

Replacing the part was really easy, have not tried it out yet, but there's a boat drink with my name on it.

Rubber coupling was deteriorating due to the high friction rotational force of Blade Assembly.

Screwdriver, small wooden mallet

The motor spindle is reverse threaded. Position flat blade screwdriver against the coupling teeth left side of rubber coupling blade aiming away from you, so it will rotate clockwise when the screwdriver is hit with mallet or hammer. Strike the coupling in the same direction that the motor spindle spins. It needs to be struck very quickly and with considerable force. The idea is to spin the coupling with enough speed and momentum that it spins faster than the motor spindle can keep up, releasing it from the spindle threads. With a couple attempts it should send old coupling flying off. Clean the threads and mating surface and screw the new coupling counter-clockwise.
