Remove the spark plug wire from the spark plug. Use one heavy duty glove to hold the blade. Remove the blade bolt and blade support, then the blade. Remove the worn blade adapter. Clean the shaft off. Then attach the new adapter to the spindle making sure that the key in the adapter lines up with the key way in the shaft. Attach the new blade and new blade support, then tighten the new blade bolt, and you can get on that lawn.

1. Replaced fuel cap with new fuel cap. (No tools required)
2. Replaced rear flap with new flap. (No tools required)
3. Replaced blade adapter and blade (3/8 drive socket with 6 inch extension, forget the
socket size)
a. Either lift lawn mower up between saw horses or turn mower on side (make sure gas has
been drained.
b. Remove bolt holding blade and adapter. Make a note of the order of installation for the
parts. The attach bolt is a standard RH thread bolt.
c. Install the new parts in the same order as the removed parts. If available, use anti-seize
on the bolt threads for easier removal next time you need to sharpen the blade.
