The air cleaner base plate fatigued and broke through the mounting holes due to chipper vibration over the years.

2. Removed the air cleaner.
3. removed the two screws holding the base plate onto the carburetor.
4. Reinstalled in reverse order.
5. Reinstalled the choke lever through the hole in the top of the base plate, making sure the slots on the lever were aligned with the tabs on the choke shaft.
My power generator had the base-air cleaner broken.

2. Pull out the air filter.
3. Unscrew and remove the two bolts that hold the base-air cleaner with socket wrench apart from the carburetor.
4. Remove gasket and place the new one.
5. Place the new base-air cleaner and screw the two bolts with the carburetor.
6. Insert the air filer and its cover.
7. Screw the two bolts with the flat tip screwdriver to secure the air filter to its base.
8. Your done!
