    Difficulty

Refer to diagrams in Jet manual. Removed fence and cutter guard. Removed belt guard. Removed belt from motor. Unbolted jointer bed from base. Careful, it's heavy! Turned bed over on a work surface to access underneath. Removed crank wheel. Tap roll pin out of long adjustment screw using hammer. Removed long adjustment screw. Removed bolt holding ball crank. You need a 1 1/16" socket for this - not common in many socket sets. Removed and replaced ball crank. Reverse all steps to reassemble. Before reassembling it a good time to clean, oil, and wax surfaces. Repair would take less than an hour without cleaning.
