Product Description ?

This is a Ball Bearing that is sealed on both sides. This genuine Porter Cable replacement part is sold individually.

  • Ball bearings minimize friction between rotating parts in your tool. The balls or rollers bear the load and spin, distributing the weight evenly, while the minimal contact area of the balls reduces friction. This reduces wear on the tool, allowing it to run smoothly.
  • Bearings experience constant wear when the tool is in operation from pressure, heat, vibration and friction. Because of this, many Bearings need periodic maintenance or replacement.

Completely disassembled palm sander to clean all parts and inspect brushes. Determined that bearings were to "polluted with dust" to perform properly as sander struggled to reach proper operating speed. Called up schematics on ereplacements.com and determined proper part number to place order. Process was simple and efficient. I actually ordered the wrong size bearing
initially as there are 2 in the palm sander. Called up the Customer Service team and completed a simple no hassle return.
    Well done eReplacementparts.com team!
