The bearings had rusted and were making the line roller on my Stradic FL 4000 noisy. The bearing at the base of my crankshaft in my Curado DC 150 had also begun rusting

2. Removed the parts and replaced the bearing
3. Scrubbed any remaining residue out of the roller housing
4. Oiled the new bearing
5. Screwed it back together without issue
For the Curado I removed all pieces down to the base of the main shaft and took the shaft out all together. To remove the bearing at the base I needed to remove a small piece using a tiny flathead screwdriver. Be careful that you don’t lose that piece. After replacing and greasing the bearing, everything was simple to put back together
Reel made noise when reeling line in.
