The burner tube consists of a new burner tube assembly and the mounting hardware. The burner tube is attached to the valve and regulator assembly, and creates an even flame inside the barbecue for consistent cooking. The most common problem with the burner tube is corrosion or other debris clogging the burner openings.
Let's get started.
REMOVING THE BURNER TUBE 1. Remove the lid.
a. Remove the two retaining pins from the two hinge pins.
b. Remove the two hinge pins from the hinge brackets.
c. Remove the lid from the cookbox.
2. Remove the burner tube assembly.
a. Remove the cooking grates.
b. Remove the bolt securing the burner tube assembly to the cookbox.
c. Slide the burner tube away from the valve and regulator assembly.
d. Lift the burner tube assembly out of the cookbox.
INSTALLING THE NEW BURNER TUBE
3. Install the burner tube.
a. Align the inlet on the new burner tube with the opening in the cookbox.
b. Slide the burner tube toward the valve assembly (until the burner inlet engages the orifice on the valve).
c. Align the burner tube mounting bracket with the mounting hole on the cookbox.
d. Secure the burner tube with the new bolt.
REASSEMBLING THE UNIT
4. Reinstall the lid.
a. Install the two cooking grates into the cookbox.
b. Install the lid onto the cookbox and align the hinge brackets.
c. Install the hinge pins.
d. Secure the hinge pins with the retaining pins.
