The handle bar assembly consists of three handle bars with a plastic ball-knob attached to each one. The handle bars attach to the feed shaft and allow you to feed the quill when drilling a hole. The most common issue with the handle bars is stripped threads where they attach to the feed shaft.
Let's get started.
REMOVING THE HANDLE BARS 1. Remove the handle bars.
a. Each handle bar contains a flat section (near the threads) to facilitate the use of a wrench.
b. Use an adjustable wrench to loosen and remove each of the handle bars from the feed shaft.
INSTALLING THE NEW HANDLE BARS
2. Install the handle bars.
a. Thread the new handle bars onto the feed shaft.
b. Use an adjustable wrench to tighten and secure the handle bars to the feed shaft.
