Is water leaking from your high pressure hose? If so, it's time for a new one. The high pressure hose delivers water from the pressure washer pump to the wand. Over time, the rubber and plastic hose will begin to develop cracks, which can lead to leaks. The o-rings and the fittings can also crack. Often, hose leaks are caused by damage to the hose. The hose can be cut if is pulled around a sharp edge or corner.
Let's get started.
REMOVING THE HIGH PRESSURE HOSE 1. Disconnect the high pressure hose.
Disconnecting the high pressure hose is sometimes as simple as loosening and tightening the threaded connections on either side of the assembly. However, corrosion between the fittings may increase the difficulty of this procedure. If the fittings on your high pressure hose are corroded: Slide the plastic sheaths away from the couplers; then use adjustable pliers to carefully separate (rotate and rock) the components.
a. Unthread and remove the high pressure hose from the trigger handle.
b. Unthread and remove the high pressure hose from the pump.
INSTALLING THE NEW HIGH PRESSURE HOSE
2. Install the high pressure hose.
a. Thread the new high pressure hose coupling onto the pump outlet; tighten the fitting by hand.
