This is a genuine OEM replacement part, it is sold individually.
The purpose of this filter is to help eliminate dirt, dust and debris from contaminating the carburetor and damaging the engine.
A dirty air filter can cause the engine from operating properly.
This filter can be cleaned a time or two by using an air supply. But it is advised to replace it once it becomes dirty.

    Remove nut from the front axles and remove the old wheels, then lube the axles and slide on the new wheels and tighten the wheel nuts. Remove the air filter cover, remove the old, dirty air filter and install the new one. Remove the old spark plug, gap the new one at 0.030 Runs like a champ now. Thank you!

    Front Tires Bald, Self Propel Not Pulling Well

    Screwdriver, Socket set, T-30 Driver bit for Front Wheel Gears

    Front Wheels - Use 9/16" Socket to remove cap screw, pulled wheels off (found the right wheel sleeve was loose on wheel, spinning on shaft.
    Took T-30 Screw Driver Bit, loosen, took left front gear off
    Took T-30 Screw Driver Bit, loosen, had problem backing off, had to hold shaft with vice grips to take off front right wheel gear.
    Replace both gears, tighten 1/4-20 T-30 screws, attach wheels, tighten 9/16" capscrew head
    Replace air filter with new
    Took off self propel drive belt cover, replace tension spring with new
    Install drive belt cover
    Started lawnmower, mowed yard, very proud of repair

    1.Removed spark plug with spark plug socket
    2. Replaced old spark plug with new spark plug
    3.Took off air filter cover
    4.Replaced old Air filter with a new air filter
    5.Put air filter cover on

    1. Removed cover for air filter.
    2. Removed old air filter.
    3. Installed new filter and installed cover in place.
    4. Disconnected spark plug wire and then spark plug.
    5. Inserted and tightened new plug and reconnected wire.
    6. Pulled starter rope and mower worked great.
