Out of the box it would only run at almost full choke. It was nearly impossible to start.

2. There are two fuel lines which must be disconnected mark which one goes where.
3. Disconnect the throttle cable remove old carburetor.
4. Remove the old gaskets.
5. Install new gaskets.
6. Reassemble in reverse order.
7. After repair trimmer started without any problem.
8. If you are unsure about doing this repair take pictures of each step so that if you need help you have a record of what you have done.
9. Always purchase any needed gaskets.

2. Removed Spark Plug
3. Installed new Plug and reconnected wire
4 Removed the Air Filter cover and Filter
5. Removed the 2 Screws holding the Air Filter Housing and Carburetor
6. Disconnected the Throttle Cable and Spring
7. Remove Housing and Carburetor
8. Removed O-Ring
9. Install New O-Ring
10.Reconnected Throttle Cable and Spring
11. Install New Carburetor and Air Filter Housing
12. Install new Air Filter and Cover
The trimmer would idle had no power

2 Open air cleaner cover and filter
3 Use a screwdriver to unscrew fuel tank and carburetor and remove
4 Use a small pick tool to remove carburetor O-Ring
5 Install fuel tank and then O-Ring an air cleaner gasket on top of the carburetor put air filter and cover on.
6 Fill with gas and started it up,it runs better then went it was new.
Changed out the short block. I broke a piston ring.

2. Removed carburetor and gaskets.
3. Installed new gaskets and carburetor.
4. Installed new breather filter.
5. Checked gap on new plug, removed and replaced plug.
