This is an authentic manufacturer sourced replacement part. It is commonly used on Honda engines. This item consists of pleated paper filter in a metal frame and a foam pre-filter. Its purpose is to filter out dust and debris from contaminating the engine. Over time it will get clogged no longer allowing for the air flow. This would reduce engines power and eventually it will no longer be able to run. It is recommended to replace air filter at least once a season to ensure top performance.
Replacing this filter element is a simple task that does not require any tools.
• Remove the wing nut that hold the cover
• Remove the air cleaner cover
• Remove old filter and secure the new one
• Reassemble and test the unit
