It was very easy to figure out online what parts I needed. Actually bought extra Flange Lock Nuts as I didn't realize that they came with the axle assembly but it was no big deal. Borrowed a socket wrench from my son and the rest was a piece a cake. For around $35 including tax and shipping my lawn mower is like new. Used it yesterday!!

lawn mower height adjustment for the front wheels did not work.

After replacing both front wheels, which were badly worn out, I replaced the adjustment piece thinking this would solve my problem. That was very simple, just 2 bolts.

The root cause of my problem was a worn out front deck, which resulted in the front axle not staying in place. While this sounds like a huge repair job, it's not. Only 4 bolts hold the deck on, the new placement deck fit like a glove, now my mower works fine. I also replaced the front axle, just to be sure, so my "front end" job cost me a lot less than a new mower!

Front axle would not maintain cutting height due to adjustment lever being bent out of shape

, Rubber mallet, small pry bar

Removed old axle from plastic front shroud on mower. Installed new axle in plastic shroud. Using pry bar to spread mounting tabs on underside of plastic shroud ,and using rubber mallet to drive axle into mounting tabs on each side . Had to shim slotted plate on top side outward so adjustment lever would lock in slots securely to maintain cutting height. I used two thin flat washers under slotted plate one on each side secured with original mounting screws. so far so good!

With the machine sitting on the ground, loosened the wheel nuts. I set the machine on three gallon buckets one under the front and one under each side in front of the rear wheels. Remove the wheels and 4 bolts (2 each side) holding the axle assembly to the deck. Remove the axle assembly from under deck. Install new one in reverse order.
